HR and payroll built for the UAE — WPS SIF, EOSB and Arabic out of the box.

Run compliant Emirati payroll from day one. Generate WPS SIF files for the MOHRE, capture Emirates ID and IBAN details safely, calculate end-of-service benefits per Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021, and give employees an Arabic experience — all in one platform with hosting options that keep data close to home.

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)
  • End-of-service benefit (EOSB)
  • Arabic UI (RTL)
  • GCC data residency

Why United Arab Emirates

Every UAE statutory requirement, handled by the system — not by your team.

UAE payroll teams juggle WPS deadlines, EOSB calculations and Arabic communications on top of everything else. WorkMind absorbs that complexity: statutory outputs are generated, Emirates IDs are validated, and Arabic-speaking employees get an app that reads the right way — while HR keeps a single system of record across every emirate.

Built-in for United Arab Emirates

Every United Arab Emirates-specific requirement, covered.

Not a bolt-on. Not a spreadsheet on the side. Country capabilities live inside the same payroll, HR and self-service that runs everything else.

WPS SIF file generation

Produce Wage Protection System SIF exports in the format the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE) and UAE banks require, with every employee validated before the file is written. Late-payment thresholds and re-generation are handled from the payroll run.

Emirates ID & IBAN validation

Emirates ID numbers (784-YYYY-XXXXXXX-X) and UAE IBANs are validated on entry — no more failed WPS runs because a digit was wrong. Sensitive IDs are encrypted at rest and exposed only to roles that need them.

End-of-service benefit (EOSB)

EOSB is calculated automatically per Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 — 21 days of basic wage for the first five years of service and 30 days thereafter, prorated for partial years, with settings for cause of termination and unlimited-contract rules.

UAE Labour Law leave

Annual leave, sick, Hajj, maternity, paternity and public-holiday policies pre-configured to UAE labour law — with accruals, carry-over and eligibility rules that reflect years of service and employment status.

Arabic UI with RTL

Every employee-facing screen — payslip, leave request, timesheet, self-service — is available in Arabic with proper right-to-left layout. Employees pick their language once; managers can operate in English while their team works in Arabic.

GCC data residency

Choose hosting in the GCC region so employee data stays close to home — with the same audit logs, encryption, and role-based controls that back the rest of the platform. Deployment topology adapts to your data-residency policy without splitting the product.

How it fits your month

A month of UAE payroll, in WorkMind.

  1. 1

Onboard with Emirates ID & IBAN checks

New joiners are added with Emirates ID, passport and IBAN details — each validated on save, encrypted at rest, and surfaced in Arabic or English for the employee.

  2. 2

    Approve attendance and leave

Attendance from biometric devices and mobile check-ins, plus UAE-labour-law leave, flow into the current payroll cycle — nothing to reconcile manually.

  3. 3

    Run payroll & export WPS

Close the cycle, review validations, and export the WPS SIF file for MOHRE and your UAE bank in one action. Payslips land in the employee app, in Arabic or English.

  4. 4

    Handle exits with confidence

When someone leaves, EOSB, unused leave and final settlement are calculated to the day — with a full paper trail for audit.

Statutory compliance

Built to UAE Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 and WPS requirements.

WorkMind mirrors the statutory rules UAE employers work under — so payroll teams stop maintaining spreadsheets of rules that change under them.

  • Wage Protection System (WPS) SIF file generation, validated per MOHRE and UAE Central Bank requirements.

  • End-of-service benefit (EOSB) per Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 — 21 days basic wage per year for the first five years and 30 days thereafter, with proration and cause-of-termination handling.

  • Statutory leave types (annual, sick, Hajj, maternity, paternity, parental) with the accrual and eligibility rules the law requires.

  • Working-hours and overtime configurations that reflect UAE Labour Law thresholds and Ramadan adjustments.

  • Emirates ID and UAE IBAN validation to catch data errors before they reach the bank or MOHRE.

  • Role-based access, audit trail and data-residency options aligned with UAE data-protection expectations.

Questions

United Arab Emirates FAQ.

Does WorkMind generate the WPS SIF file for UAE banks?

Yes. Payroll runs export a Wage Protection System SIF file in the format required by UAE banks and MOHRE. Employee records are validated (Emirates ID, IBAN, basic wage, allowances) before the file is written, so the run does not fail at the bank.

How is end-of-service benefit calculated?

EOSB is calculated per Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021: 21 days of basic wage for each of the first five years of continuous service and 30 days thereafter, prorated for partial years. Cause-of-termination and unlimited-contract rules are configurable, and estimates are visible to employees in self-service.

Is the employee experience available in Arabic?

Yes. The employee app, payslips, leave requests, notifications and self-service screens are fully available in Arabic with right-to-left layout. Employees choose their preferred language once, and managers can continue operating in English.

Can we keep our employee data hosted in the GCC region?

GCC-region hosting is a deployment option for Emirati and wider Gulf customers who need data to stay close to home. The same product, security controls and audit trails apply — deployment topology adapts to your data-residency policy.

Can WorkMind run payroll across the UAE and other GCC entities?

Yes. WorkMind is a multi-entity, multi-country payroll platform. You can run UAE payroll on the local WPS while Qatari, Saudi and other GCC entities use their own local statutory rules — from one system, with consolidated reporting.

How does WorkMind handle Emirates ID renewals and expiry?

Emirates ID (and passport and visa) expiry dates are tracked per employee, with configurable reminders to HR and the employee before renewal is due. Reports surface everyone whose documents are due within the next 30, 60 or 90 days.
